Frequently Asked Questions

Professionally run therapy groups are an ideal opportunity to learn how we are perceived and to test our perception and assumptions about ourselves and others. A group is a very powerful and revealing form of therapy that challenges its members’ perspectives. Group therapy is supportive and there are certain boundaries, such as confidentiality, which are put in place. The therapist comments on the group process in a way that enables members to deal with feelings and issues raised.

Normally, only those who have some previous experience of being in therapy will become members of a therapy group. There are no more than eight members per group at any one time.
